月牙形披肩 Knit a simple “Crescent shawl”

knitting a shawl sometimes take more time than a scarf, but this simple crescent shawl doesn’t take much more time and it looks good and useful to warm you up and add some design for your outfit.

打個披肩保暖又可以搭配衣服

這個月牙形披肩并不會花很多時間就可完成。

below photo show you 3 balls of yarn , needle size 8, can finish one hat and a shawl.

打過一條後幾乎就記得針法。然後一條接著一條地打 ……

Terms

K Knit 下針

KFB Knit Front and Back (increase) 加針（多掛一針）

K2tog Knit 2 together (decrease) 減針（兩針併一針）

Basic Shawl Pattern 棒針編織圖案

Step 1: K1; KFB; Knit to two stitches before end of row; K2tog.

打一個下針；加針；打下針直到最後兩針；減針

Step 2: Knit to two stitches before end of row; KFB; K1

打下針直到最後兩針；加針；一個下針

Pattern START:

1. cast on 5 sts . 開始5針
2. Work in basic shawl pattern, repeating steps 1 & 2 until it reaches your desired length. 接著重複打上面的兩個步驟，直到你想要的長度。
3. Cast off all stitches loosely t o allow for a stretchy edge for blocking. 收針。

Knit a vite cowl for yourself especially when you get a yarn as a gift!

用一顆毛線給自己打個小圍巾！

Friend went to Machu Picchu, Peru and got a nice yarn for Miloh’s mom. why just one yarn ? because this is Miloh’s mom favorite color but only one left in that yarn store 🙂

麥寳娘親的好友去秘魯旅游。給她帶回了一球毛線是娘親最愛的顔色！

因爲店裏只剩一顆還是買回來了哈哈

這擺明了就是要讓麥寳娘親挑戰打毛織品的巧思與能力：）

So here comes challenge, what to knit with this beautiful bulky yarn ?

記得在網路上看過這個小圍巾，剛好設計給一個粗毛線的。於是就動手吧！

Miloh mom remembered seeing this quick knitting small project “vite cowl” , so it may be really fit for this yarn, the only one yarn.

打到一半出門玩也帶在車上繼續打

Done! 坐在車上一邊幫忙看路一邊打毛線，還要小心數針。也完成囖。

Instead of sewing the piece together as a cowl, Miloh mom decided to use it as a small scarf.

決定不把兩邊給接縫起來，就當個小圍巾。美嗎？

Curl it up.. isn’t it beautiful ?!!

結尾時還是要再次感謝好朋友，帶回了這一千零一個毛線回來。這顏色這設計的花色麥寳娘親真的很喜歡也很滿意！

It has been so many raining days this winter, mom knit a lot. Miloh, I , got so bored.

棒針編織星星花樣 Knitting “Star Stitch” pattern

麥寶娘親想要打條小圍巾有星星的花樣..在網路上找到了打法.

Miloh’s mom want to knit a scarf with star pattern.. and she found the star stitch pattern online .

Starting this with a pink yarn while waiting outside a physical checkup..kill some time.

在等著健康檢查時.坐在外面喝著咖啡.打打毛線

後來又找到幾款毛線打一樣的針法看起來都很不錯ㄡ

Star Stitch 星星針

Cast on multiples of 4 + 1 so for example, I casted on 21 stitches (20+1)

Row 1: Knit the entire row 全部織下針

Row 2: purl 1, purl 3 together (keep on needle) then yarn over and purl together, repeat this start stitch to the last stitch then purl the last stitch.

打1 上針, “把3上針同時擺在棒針上, 掛一針再一起打上針”, 把 ” ” 的針法重複打到剩下最後一針打上針

Row 3: Knit the entire row 全部織下針

Row 4: purl 3 stitches separately, purl 3 together (keep on needle) then yarn over and purl together, repeat this start stitch to the last three stitches, then purl the last three stitches separately.

打3 上針, “把3上針同時擺在棒針上, 掛一針再一起打上針”, 把 ” ” 的針法重複打到剩下最後3針, 打3上針

repeat this pattern from row 1 to 4 until you finish your project.

這樣重複 1 – 4 直到你要的長度.

(you can actually reverse the Knit and Purl depending on how you like the way to knit)

麥寶娘親在麥寶哥哥姐姐小時後常帶他們一起去這家毛線店..那時在 Encinitas . 後來搬到了 Sorrento Valley.

簡單輕便的保暖物 Lightweight Simply knitting pieces

Have spent just a few days for all these very simple , quick knitting pieces.

The hat and smaller ,thin scarf are designed to put into handbag as a handy warm object.

The hand warmer is designed to put in front of computer, iPad while typing or swiping the screen. or, while you are knitting with needles in hands 🙂

花了短短幾天晚上打了些小又輕巧的保暖物.

帽子和小圍巾可以塞進隨身包 .無指手套是給打字.刷平版或打毛線時用的.

The yarns in recent years appear to be more designed in the skein so you don’t need to knit special pattern.. simple knit and purl pattern will create beautiful pattern by the yarn color itself!

這幾年來的毛線真的是越來越美..即使只打簡單的平針 ..不需多花時間..就可打出美美的花樣ㄡ~~

新年新希望和決心: 多打毛線,少做家事! 🙂

91歲「毛帽爺爺」91-year-old man in hospice care knits hats for the homeless

Being a long time knitter, I know the figures will hurt after long hours knitting even you are in love with knitting. The hat man knit all day long for homeless people.When I read this article , I am touched!

This story remind me that a man I met before. He came to talk with me when I was knitting in the Doctor office waiting room. He told me he wish he know how to knit. His wife used to knit hundred of hats and sent over to Africa for kids before she passed away.

I bought the knitting loop for Miloh’s daddy years ago and hope he learn how to knit a hat. and He did! he ended up knitting 2 hats and one is still going on.. (for years… )

The loop actually can be great gift for young children or who want to knit but hard to learn how to pick up the knitting needles.

Can I say.. If Miloh’s dad can knit, so do you ?! 🙂

The Hat Man said, “There is a purpose of living..” Yes!

讀到這文章的時後..我真得很感動.看了很多關於他的報導, 他在病床上.整天不停的打毛帽給流浪漢們.

我很喜歡打毛線..知道常時間打..手指也會痛的! 他打的花色也都不錯.有設計.

多年前我教了兩小孩拿棒針打毛線.他們也都各自完成一個簡單的圍巾.

幾年前我決定送個打毛線的工具給麥寶的爸爸.他..不負眾望 (哈哈)..也完成了兩頂帽子

還有一個打了好久沒完成的 :)…

市面上現在有各種不同的打毛線工具圓的直的大的小的.可以打帽子.圍巾.襪套… 價格也不貴.

Ok.. It had been so low production for Miloh’s mom knitting projects 🙂 The inventory of yarns are more than the finished project 😦 Time to knit more especially it’s raining a lot recently that make more sense to pick up the needles.

麥寶娘親, 我, 不知在忙甚麼.. 車庫的毛線比打好的成品還多呀!

終於在2017年居然打出了些成品:)
